Had a memorial service at school on Friday. It was lovely to see the children being quiet during the minute's silence, even if some of them didn't understand what was happening.

Also a note to myself- Halloween plays are hard work and I will not organise one again. No matter how much that silly Mrs T begs.

My dear niece dropped in yesterday, supposedly to get some peace and quiet to do a bit of study. Instead she noticed the cupcake recipes I had out and decided to show me how to make rainbow cupcakes.

Didn't have the heart to tell her I already knew. Still, we had a good time trying to get the right colours (red always ends up pink, it's such a bother) and we debated over the right rainbow order (Yellow first, green last). She was impatient and put the icing on half before they had cooled. The resulting melted icing was quite interesting. She took those ones home and left me the nice ones, the dear.

And then my husband noticed what we had done and now I seem to lack a large number of the cupcakes.

All in all, a fun afternoon. :)

P.S Everyone seems keen for a watchalong, and for it to be the Monty Python moive. How does sometime next week sound?

Well I must say, the last few months have been so very busy. Without going into too much detail, I've spent a lot of time sorting out my dear family's issues after which I took a holiday.

But I'm back now, dears! I hope to catch up with you all soon.  :)

And I must say, it looks like you lot have been acting the damn fool while I was gone.
